Website Care

Website maintenance so nothing breaks while you are working

The most common way a small business website fails is not dramatic. A contact form quietly stops sending. An update breaks a layout on mobile and nobody notices for a month. The certificate expires and browsers start warning people away.

Website care is the unglamorous work that stops all of that. It is not exciting, which is exactly why it usually gets skipped until something goes wrong.

What’s included

  • Software, plugin, and security updates
  • Off-site backups and uptime monitoring
  • Monthly content edits and small additions
  • Performance checks and fixes
  • A human who answers when something looks wrong

The point: One less thing on your plate, and a site that still works a year from now.

Who this is for

Is website care what you need?

  • You have a site you like and want it to stay working
  • You keep meaning to update your hours or add a photo and never do
  • Nobody is currently responsible for backups
  • You would not know if your contact form stopped sending
  • You would rather run your business than log into a dashboard

And when it isn’t: If your site is beyond saving, a care plan is money spent propping something up. I will say so and point you toward a rebuild instead.

How the work runs

What happens, step by step

  1. Everything gets updated on a schedule

Core software, plugins, and security patches, applied and checked rather than auto-applied and hoped for.

  2. Backups live somewhere other than your site

A backup stored on the same server as the site is not a backup. Yours sits off-site so a bad day is recoverable.

  3. Uptime and speed get watched

If the site goes down or slows sharply, I find out — ideally before you do, and definitely before your customers do.

  4. Small changes just get done

New hours, a staff change, a seasonal note, a photo swap. Email it over and it gets handled that month.
